The Lord, our good God, most mighty, wise, gracious, and bountiful Father,
who has elected us before the foundation of the world was laid,
who hath made us all of a blood in our father, the first Adam, at the beginning of time, and at the acceptable fulness of time, when we were utterly lost, of his free mercy, pitying our misery, hath made us new again, and redeemed us from the devil, death and hell, by the precious blood of the second Adam, his one only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, our Saviour:
who has translated us out of darkness, into this marvellous light of the gospel, which we so long enjoy:
who has justified and sanctified us in some measure, by his Holy Spirit of adoption, to an assured hope of the life everlasting:
who has kept us unto this hour, and furnished to us abundantly all things needful and comfortable for body and soul, as he hath now presently refreshed and fed us:
and so ceases not to pour more and more the plentifulness of his rich graces and blessings upon us:
even this our good God and most gracious Father be blessed, praised, honoured, and sanctified, now and for ever. Amen.
